REVIEW : Kuali Mimie Ayam Geprek A Spicy Delight in Kota Kinabalu

Kota Kinabalu's Hidden Gem for Spicy Food Lovers

During a recent work trip to Kota Kinabalu, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that has since become my go-to spot for a fiery culinary experience. Kuali Mimie, located on Jalan Alamesra in Alamesra, offers a mouthwatering Ayam Geprek that's sure to tantalize your taste buds.

The star of the show is undoubtedly the Ayam Geprek. The chicken is generously portioned, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. It's smothered in a fiery sambal that packs a serious punch, making it a perfect choice for spice enthusiasts. To complement the main dish, the meal comes with a variety of ulam-ulam, terung, and tempe.

While I can't recall the exact price, the generous portions and high-quality ingredients make it a worthwhile investment for a truly satisfying meal.

If you're a fan of spicy food and find yourself in Kota Kinabalu, Kuali Mimie is a must-visit.

REVIEW : Martabak Manis Bangka 66: A Sweet Indulgence

Indulge in the sweetness of Indonesia

If you're a fan of martabak and apam balik, you're in for a treat! Martabak Bangka 66, located at Lot 60, Jalan Tasik Utama 4, Lake Fields, Kuala Lumpur, offers a unique Indonesian twist on these beloved treats.

A Sweet Symphony

While they offer a variety of savory martabak telur, I was particularly drawn to their sweet martabak manis. These massive, spongy treats are generously filled with your choice of delicious toppings. From classic chocolate and cheese to more indulgent options like Oreo, Nutella, Ovomaltine, and Lotus Biscoff, there's something to satisfy every sweet tooth.

I opted for the Lotus Biscoff flavor, and it was pure bliss. The rich, buttery taste of the spread combined perfectly with the fluffy texture of the martabak. While it may be a bit on the pricey side at RM23, the quality of the ingredients and the generous portion size make it a worthwhile indulgence.

Overall, I give Martabak Bangka 66 a rating of 4 out of 5. It's a great place to satisfy your cravings for something sweet and unique.
