REVIEW: MARRYBROWN TOM YAM CHICKEN

Sawadikap! Okey hari nie kita nak review pulak Marrybrown Tom Yam Chicken .




Harga Marrybrown Tom Yam Chicken bermula daripada RM7.90. I order through food panda 1 set RM19.40 (2 pieces Tom Yam Chicken, 1 mashed potato, 1 vegetable salad & 1 drink). Yang burger Tomyam tu tak ingat la berapa harga and tak makan pun. Hahaha.

The taste of the chicken tu masam, manis dan pedas. Actually, I dah try 3x and I like it. Memang ada rasa Tomyam yang “kaw” but unfortunately, I selalu dapat ayam bersaiz kecil. Hahahaha. Maybe Marrybrown Kota Warisan kena check your quality assurance on this. Overall, I boleh bagi rating 4/5 untuk rasa TOM YAM CHICKEN tu.

RESEPI 91: NASI GORENG SAMBAL UDANG

Hi there! How are you? Hope you all have an amazing day. Today, I nak share another recipe of nasi goreng. Let’s check it out!

 

BAHAN-BAHAN KISAR

2 Biji Bawang merah

2 ulas Bawang putih

2 sdb cili kisar

Sedikit belacan


BAHAN-BAHAN LAIN

1 mangkuk nasi putih

5-6 ekor udang

1 btg celery (hiris nipis)

1 sdk serbuk Maggi cukup rasa

2 sdb kicap manis Kipas Udang

 

CARA-CARA

Panaskan minyak dan tumis bahan-bahan kisar sehingga pecah minyak.

Masukkan udang dan tunggu hingga udang masak.

Masukkan pula celery yang telah dihiris halus dan nasi putih. Gaul hingga serata.

Kemudian masukkan serbuk perasa Maggi dan kicap manis. Boleh tambahkan gula/garam ikut citarasa masing-masing.

Continue to stir-fry and make sure all perasa are well blended with the rice.

Dish out, top the nasi goreng with the fried egg and slices of cucumber.

Serve Immediately.

 

So yummy!

REVIEW: ALOFT KUALA LUMPUR SENTRAL

Hi guys!

Today's entry is a review of my recent staycation at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral. Aloft is a Marriott International brand that is the urban-inspired spaces and vibrant social scenes for the next-gen traveler. It has 482 rooms and suites and is located near the busy Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station.





Check-in

So, we checked in a little late, about 9.00 p.m. Because there aren't a lot of guests checking in at that time, the process runs well. Guests staying at the hotel were asked to provide identification.

 


Room

The room was clean and quite spacious. It had a funky design, true to the Aloft brand. The usage of sliding doors cleverly maximizes the space of the room. Our room was bright and light-filled, with a soft twin
bed and a work area with a high-speed internet connection and enough plug points to accommodate the electronics. The room amenities are basic but adequate, including coffee and tea making equipment, an in-room safe, and toiletries for a pleasant stay.

 

Breakfast

Breakfast is one of the things I like best about Aloft. The spread has almost all my favorite breakfast items – rich and cheesy eggs casserole, waffle, pastries, and all the makings of a good breakfast. They also served laksa Sarawak. So nice and yummy!

 










Swimming Pool

The pool offers one of the nicest views of the city skyline at the moment. Even though I cannot swim, but the view is so fantastic and Instagramable.




Overall

Rating: 4/5

Our stay at Aloft was fantastic. It allowed us to relax after a long day at the office. I would recommend this hotel for a quick getaway.

RESEPI 90: IKAN SIAKAP 3 RASA TANPA VIRAL

How are you? Hope semua sihat and have an amazing day. Recently, viral ya pasal ikan siakap Langkawi. hahaha. Semua pakat teruja pasal ikan siakap di restaurant terapung tu. Whatever pun, jangan kecam-kecam to both parties. Just make it as ikhtibar untuk kita sebagai pembeli dan peniaga. Jangan malu bertanya dan berilah info yang terang lagi bersuluh. Okay, sempena ikan siakap tgh viral tu, iols nak share resepi Ikan Siakap 3 Rasa. Let’s check it out!




IKAN SIAKAP 3 RASA TANPA VIRAL

BAHAN-BAHAN

1 Ekor Ikan Siakap – goreng dengan Tepung Bestari hingga garing

1 biji bawang Holland – potong dadu

6 ulas bawang putih – hiris halus

2 Batang serai – 1 batang hiris kasar

½ inch halia – hiris kasar

10 btg cili Thailand (hijau dan merah)

2 sdb Sos cili

1 sdb Sos Tomato

2 sdb Sos tiram

2 ½  sdb gula

½ sdk garam

3 sdb cili kisar (cili kering yg dikisar bersama bawang merah)

2-3 Keping Daun Limau 

 

CARA-CARA

Tumis cili kisar dan serai hingga pecah minyak

Masukkan bawang Holland, bawang putih, cili Thailand dan halia. Masak dalam 3 mins.

Kemudian masukkan sos cili, sos tomato, hirisan daun limau dan sos tiram. Kalau ada nanas lagi sedap. Gaul bagi sebati. Perasakan dengan gula dan garam ikut tahap citarasa masing- masing.

Boleh disediakan di atas ikan siakap tadi.

RESEPI 89: IKAN TENGGIRI MASAK SAMBAL BERLADO KEMANGI

Hello there! How are you? Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. Now dah boleh dine-in for Phase 1. Tapi hopefully everyone take care, jaga social distancing and pakai mask. Always sanitize your hand. As for me, I just cook at home. I still don’t dare to eat outside yet due to my health condition. Must be more extra careful and need to stay safe at home. So, today, I was craving something spicy and I’m so lazy. Paling senang nak masak is sambal berlado. So here we go the recipe:

 


BAHAN-BAHAN:

4 Keping Ikan Tenggiri – Goreng kunyit hingga garing

Daun Kemangi/ Basil

1 Asam Keping

1 Batang Serai

2 sdk gula

½ sdk Maggi Cukup Rasa

Garam- ikut citarasa

 

BAHAN-BAHAN KISAR KASAR :

1 Biji Bawang Besar

5 Ulas Bawang Putih

1 Batang Cili Merah

15 Btg Cili Padi Merah

 

CARA-CARA:

Panaskan minyak dan tumis bahan kisar dan batang serai hingga garing. Masukkan air dalam 2 cawan.

Tunggu air tadi kering dan sambal pecah minyak. Masukkan asam keeping dan perasakan dengan gula, garam dan Maggi secukup rasa. Kemudian masukkan ikan yang telah digoreng dan daun kemangi.

Gaul dengan sambal tadi hingga sebati. Tunggu dalam 2-3 minit . Then siap . Boleh dihidangkan dengan nasi panas.

 

DONE!!

REVIEW: THE NEW KFC BURGER BANJIR

Hello there! How are you doing? I hope everyone has a fantastic day. Today I would like to review the new burger from KFC. This KFC’s latest limited-time offering is advertised as a Zinger burger patty flooded with smoked Grill BBQ sauce.

Looks Delicious in Picture:



For me, I am not a fan of sloppy, messy burgers. And surprising although this burger is known as banjir but I got not so banjir sauce. Thus, the amount of sauce on the burger was just right for me and equally coated around the whole crispy fried chicken patty and a drizzle of mayonnaise and vegetable. The sauce tastes barbeque with a good balance of savory and peppery and a bit sweet taste. The chicken patty is also juicy and crispy even it is coated with the sauce. Unfortunately, I got not so soft bun.





Overall rating: 3/5

Why? Because I’m not a fan of BBQ sauce.

RESEPI 88: GULAI IKAN TENGGIRI SIMPLE

Hi all…. how are you? Hope semua sihat. Working at home memang mencabar. tambah2 yang mana ada anak. Tapi yang tak dak anak pun challenging jugak. Dengan nak mengemas rumah, masak , cuci baju dan lain-lain. Rasanya kalau WFH memang triple penat dari WIO. But fortunately, I’m so lucky to have jobs during this pandemic. Alhamdulillah.

So today, I nak share resepi Gulai atau Curry Ikan Tenggiri . Sangat simple. Tak letak pun daun kari sebab guna jer barang-barang dapur apa yang ada. So, let’s check it out!




 BAHAN-BAHAN KISAR

1 Biji Bawang Besar

½ Inch Halia

3 Ulas Bawang Putih

 BAHAN-BAHAN TUMIS

2 Biji Bawang Merah Kecil, Hiris

2 Ulas Bawang Putih, Hiris

½ Inch Halia Dihiris

BAHAN-BAHAN LAIN

4 ketul ikan tenggiri

1 ketul kepala ikan tenggiri (belah dua)

4 btg bendi

1 biji tomato

1 btg terung

2 bungkus rempah ikan adabi

2 sudu besar cili kisar

1/2 cwn air asam

1 kotak santan kara

Air secukupnya

Garam/penyedap rasa

 CARA-CARA

Panaskan minyak dan masukkan bahan tumis hingga naik bau dan kemudian masuk bahan kisar. Masak hingga kekuningan.

Masukkan rempah kari yang sudah dibancuh dengan 1 cawan air, cili kisar  dan 2 sudu besar santan. Masak sehingga bau rempah mentah hilang dan hingga naik minyak.

Masukkan air asam  dan kacau.

Bila rempah naik minyak baru masukkan ikan dan balik- balikkan hingga ikan 1/2 masak. Masukkan lebihan santan dan masak hingga mendidih. Adjust kepekatan yang dikehendaki dengan tambahan air.

Setelah kuah menggelegak baru masukkan kacang bendi , terung dan tomato.

Sesuaikan rasanya dengan garam atau penyedap rasa.

Perlahankan api paling kecik dan biar beberapa minit supaya kuah naik minyak dan cantik.

Done….


Sedap dimakan dengan Ikan masin dan sambal belacan. Nasi pun bertambah.

REVIEW: SAY HOLÁ TO THE MCD RIO BURGER!

Hello there! How are you? Hope everyone is doing well and stay healthy.

Today, I nak review the latest Brazilian-inspired Rio Burger. Once again, the highly anticipated beef Rio Burger is making a comeback since it was first introduced during the 2016 Rio Olympics. The Rio Burger comes in a set together with French fries and Coke McFloat and is priced from RM16.97 for a meal.





Verdict:

The beef patty is moist and the sauce melimpah ruah sama naik dengan vege…I like the sauce, a bit spicy but the bun is so hard…I don’t know why, and it comes without box macam dulu. So, my overall rating: 3/5.

RESEPI 87: CUCUR SAYUR SIMPLE

Hello there! How are you? Hope everything is going well in this current pandemic. 

Takut kalau tengok everyday cases. As for down, Malaysia still in MCO 3.0 until 7 June 2021. Some revisions are being made to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the ongoing movement control order (MCO) and also caused confusion as we in turn struggle to keep up with the frequent, yet sometimes unclear revisions occasionally announced by the government. Setuju tak?

Okey lah….hari ni kita nak kongsi cucuq paling simple di dunia…Gitewww…hahahha…resepi campak-campak sahaja. Let’s check it out!




BAHAN-BAHAN

2-3 cawan tepung gandum

1 genggam ikan bilis – kisar

1 biji bawang merah – kisar

1 sudu cili kisar – ikut suka nak letak atau tidak

2 pokok daun bawang - hiris

2 genggam taugeh

1 biji lobak merah – disagat

Garam secukup rasa

Air secukupnya



CARA- CARA

Gaul kesemua bahan2 sehingga rata.

Panaskan minyak yang agak banyak seperti menggoreng cucur.

Pastikan minyak panas kemudian sudukan adunan ke dalam minyak dan balik-balikan sehingga garing.



Toskan minyak dan hidangkan panas-panas

Saya buat homemade sos cili untuk cicah bersama cucuq .

RESEPI 86: IKAN TALANG MASIN MASAK KICAP ASAM

Hello there!

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Hari ini adalah hari ke-5 Hari Raya AidilFitri untuk tahun 2021. Still dalam MCO 3.0 and raya pun di rumah masing-masing. I dah start kerja but work from home until next week baru masuk office. So, dah lama tak share resepi kan . Last adalah resepi yang ke -85: RESEPI85: AYAM PERCIK | GRILLED SPICED CHICKEN (boleh click here if nak tengok resepi). Today, I would like to share satu resepi favorite my family masa bulan puasa untuk sahur. Ikan Talang Masin Masak Kicap Asam diberi nama. Kalau mak masak this recipe, memang bertambah-tambah sahur. Let’s check it out the recipe!

 


BAHAN-BAHAN:

1 mangkuk kecil  ikan talang masin – dipotong dadu

2 biji bawang besar - dihiris halus

5 ulas bawang putih - dihiris halus

10 btg cili kering – dipotong

1-inch halia - dihiris

½ cawan Air asam jawa secukupnya

Gula secukup rasa

Kicap Cap Kipas Udang

Minyak untuk menumis secukupnya

 



CARA-CARA:

Panaskan minyak masak di dalam kuali. Goreng ikan masin talang sehingga garing. Angkat dan toskan.

Tumis bawang besar, bawang putih dan halia sehingga layu.

Selepas itu masukkan cili kering. Gaul rata.

Masukkan ikan masin talang tadi dan gaul sebati. Masukkan air asam jawa, kicap dan gula secukup rasa. Kacau sehingga mendidih dan pekat.

Angkat dan sedia dimakan dengan nasi panas.

REVIEW: MALAYSIA’S FIRST-EVER TACO BELL IN CYBERJAYA

Salam Ramadhan.

How are you? Hope everyone is doing well, staying safe and healthy. Its been a while I didn’t update any post here. A bit busy with works and personal matters. Today, I would like to review the fast foods franchise from the U.S – Taco Bell which located at Cyberjaya. This is the first Taco Bell franchise in Malaysia. Below is a brief history about Taco Bell:

  • Taco Bell was founded by Glen Bell, an entrepreneur who first opened a hot dog stand called Bell's Drive-In in San Bernardino, California in 1948
  • Glen Bell opened the first Taco Bell in 1962 in Downey, California. Taco Bell's first franchisee opens a restaurant in Orange County, CA.
  • In 1978, PepsiCo purchased Taco Bell from Glen Bell.
  • Taco Bell serves more than 2 billion customers each year at over 7,000 restaurants worldwide




So, let’s review if the Taco Bell in Malaysia tastes just like in the U.S or not. As if I’ve been in the U.S before. Hehehe.

As expected, there’s a lot of hype when this Americanized fast food open. On my first visit, the queue was so long, and I have no patience to wait and queue. Then, I came another week and because of the raining stop when I arrived, I managed to be in the front queue. So the total waiting time is about 30 mins for dine-in.


The menu: Taco Bell combo sets costs between RM13.90 to RM15.90 which includes a soft drink and a choice of either Nacho chips or Mexican fries. Affordable price and the drink is free to flow. Very good!

I ordered Taco Supreme with a crunchy hard shell, the classic Loaded Nachos and Grilled Stuff Burrito for my dinner. I really like it. The flavor is tasty with a good balance of tangy vegetables to round out the savory meat.






To finish up my meal, I ordered the Chocodilla (À la carte – RM3.90) and the Cinnamon Twists (À la carte – RM3.90). I really like Cinnamon Twists because it is crunchy and not so sweet. Just nice with the sugar-cinnamon flavor.



Overall rating:  4/5

It worth waiting with one condition to dine in there. Don’t take away if you want a typical Mexican-inspired Taco Bell experience.

REVIEW: MCDONALD’S SPICY CHICKEN WITH APPLE SLICES

McDonald’s said,

“The trendiest burger you’ll ever have!  The hottest and sweetest chick has arrived - it’s the NEW Spicy Chicken with Apple Slices! Enjoy how perfectly sweet and spicy blends together with real apple slices paired with a crunchy spicy chicken patty and topped with black pepper mayo sauce, all tucked between a warm bun”



Here is my review:

McDonald's frequently comes up with new food creations to keep things exciting, and a rare combo of spicy chicken and apple that intrigued me to try is the latest addition to the list. This special burger has a deep-fried, spicy chicken patty served with black pepper mayo sauce and real apple slices.

It's hard to imagine, as far as I'm concerned, how apple can combine with a savoury and spicy fried chicken patty will go well together. They certainly don’t sound like something you’d put in a burger. Honestly, I really don’t like it. I can’t eat the patty with that slices of apple even there was a good amount of apple slices on top, slathered with sauce. The patties they use are the same as the ones used in the McDeluxe Spicy Chicken, so on that front, the flavour was practically the same. The chicken patties were good; crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, fried to golden perfection. Overall, when combined with the apple slices, it tasted strange and it’s nothing remarkable.

RESEPI 85: AYAM PERCIK | GRILLED SPICED CHICKEN

Hello guys!

How are you? How’s life in this current situation? MCO extended lagi to 18hb Feb 2020. For those yang bekerja , selamat bekerja and stay safe. And pada yang stay at home or WFH, keep it up and please stay safe also ok. Dah lama tak share resepi. Disebabkan last week I was in the mood of cooking, maka dengan ini terhasil laah resepi ayam percik. Ya Allah, I’m so proud of myself. Hahahaha. 1st time masak jadi. Actually lama dah nak try buat ayam percik, tapi ingatkan bahan2 susah, itu yang tergendala . In fact, the ingredients are so simple. Semua dah ada di dapur.

Okeylah jom tengok my ayam percik resepi!




 BAHAN- BAHAN:

1 ekor ayam - dipotong 4

1 keping asam keeping

Gula & Garam

1 Kotak kecil santan KARA

BAHAN KISAR:

2 biji bawang besar

4-5 ulas bawang putih

1 inci halia

1 inci kunyit hidup

1 batang serai

3 sdb cili kisar

1 sdk lada hitam

1 sdb peanut butter kasar (rahsia kesedapan ayam percik nie)

 


CARA CARA:

Campurkan semua bahan kisar , ayam dan santan ke dalam kuali. Gaul hingga sekata.

Masakkan di atas dapur dengan api perlahan sambil terus dikacau.


Tunggu sehingga ayam separuh masak.

Masukkan asam keping, garam dan gula secukupnya.

Setelah ayam separuh masak, asingkan ayam tersebut di pinggan lain untuk di bakar.



Kuah boleh digunakan  mencelup ayam untuk dibakar.

Bakar ayam sehingga masak. Lebihan kuah tadi boleh dipekatkan dan diletakkan di atas ayam bakar tadi .
