REVIEW : Worth the Wait? My Honest Food Review of MODU TRX – Samgyetang Specialty Korean Restaurant

Let’s talk about patience, hunger, and really good Korean soup.

I recently braved a 2-hour wait at MODU TRX – Samgyetang Specialty Korean Restaurant. Yes, two hours. Was I hangry? Absolutely. Did it pay off? Mostly.

The Queue Is Real πŸ˜…

If you’re planning to visit, here’s the truth: come early, bring a friend, or prepare for a long wait. Watching people shuffle in and out while your stomach growls is a test of character — or maybe just bad timing.

What I Ate

🍲 Spicy Herbal Samgyetang

Portion size: enough for two hungry humans

Taste: herbal, comforting, with a spicy kick that hits just right

Verdict: soup lovers, this is your dream bowl. Seriously, you’ll savor every drop.

πŸ₯¬ Minari Pancake

Texture: crispy outside, soft inside

Taste: flavorful but a bit too salty for me

Verdict: still worth a try, but maybe sip the soup first to balance it out

The Price πŸ’Έ

Yes, it’s pricey. This is not your everyday lunch spot — think of it as a treat-yourself moment. Worth it if you love Korean cuisine, maybe less so if you’re counting every ringgit.

πŸ† Verdict: Is MODU TRX Worth It?

Yes… if: You love hearty, spicy, herbal soups, enjoy Korean flavors, and don’t mind waiting. The Spicy Herbal Samgyetang is comfort in a bowl and generously portioned enough for two.

No… if: You’re short on patience, not a soup fan, or sensitive to salty side dishes. The Minari Pancake might be too salty, and the 2-hour wait plus pricey menu can feel heavy on the wallet.

Bottom line: MODU TRX delivers on flavor and experience, but it’s an occasional treat, not an everyday stop. Bring patience, bring a friend, and savor every drop — the hype is mostly real.

Have you tried MODU TRX yet? How long did you wait, and did it live up to the hype? Drop your story in the comments — let’s see if the 2-hour wait club is worth it! 🍲

REVIEW : LèTen Chinese Muslim Restaurant at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA

Whenever I’m around Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA, there’s one place I now consider my go-to food stop — Din Tai Fung, located at:

πŸ“ F-60A, Mitsui Outlet Park, KLIA πŸ“ž 03-8660 2388

What started as a casual meal turned into one of the most satisfying food experiences I’ve had near the airport.

⭐ Golden Custard Bun — My All-Time Favourite

I can never say no to this.

The Golden Custard Bun came out warm and soft, and the moment I opened it — that rich, molten custard flowed out beautifully. Creamy, smooth, slightly sweet, and incredibly comforting.

It’s indulgent without being too heavy.

This remains my forever favourite.

πŸ”₯ Wok Fried Carrot Cake — So Damn Delicious

Next came the Wok Fried Carrot Cake, and this dish delivered serious flavour.

You get that unmistakable wok hei aroma — smoky, slightly crispy on the outside yet soft inside. Every bite was well-balanced and not overly oily.

Simple dish, but done exceptionally well.

So. Damn. Delicious.

🦐 Steamed Rice Roll with Fresh Prawn Filling — My Top Pick

And then came the highlight of the meal.

The Steamed Rice Roll with Fresh Prawn Filling was silky smooth and wrapped around juicy, fresh prawns. Lightly drenched in savoury sauce, the texture was delicate yet satisfying.

Soft rice roll + fresh prawn = perfection.

This is officially my top favourite from the meal.

Verdict 🍽️

Dining here was absolutely worth it.

Each dish brought something special — comfort, flavour, and quality you wouldn’t always expect from an airport-side dining spot.

My personal ranking:

πŸ₯‡ Steamed Rice Roll with Fresh Prawn Filling

πŸ₯ˆ Golden Custard Bun

πŸ₯‰ Wok Fried Carrot Cake

⭐ Overall Rating: 9/10

Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to whenever I’m around KLIA ✨
