REVIEW: HOTEL HILTON KUALA LUMPUR – ONE NIGHT OF SPACIOUS COMFORT, DELICIOUS BREAKFAST & BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

I recently stayed at Hilton Kuala Lumpur for a one-night getaway, and while it was short, the experience left a lasting impression. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this was going to be a comfortable stay — with all the hallmarks of a Hilton hotel: clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed.

Spacious Room & Relaxing Bathtub

My room was spacious, giving me plenty of room to unwind and move around freely. The décor was modern yet cozy, with a layout that felt both luxurious and functional. One feature I especially loved was the bathtub — perfect for soaking after a long day exploring the city. The room also had ample storage, clean linens, and a comfortable bed that made it easy to feel right at home, even if it was just for one night.

Breakfast – A Delicious Spread

The next morning, the breakfast was a highlight of my stay. The spread was impressive, offering everything from fresh pastries and tropical fruits to hearty cooked dishes. Whether you enjoy local flavors or classic international breakfast items, there’s something for everyone. The quality and variety made it feel like more than just a meal — it was a true morning treat.

Birthday Surprise… Almost!

This visit was extra special because it was part of my belated birthday celebration. I mentioned this in my booking, and the reservation team acknowledged it, promising a complimentary birthday cake in my room. It was a thoughtful gesture I had been looking forward to.

However, when I arrived, the cake was not in my room. Upon check-out, I raised the issue at the front desk. There was a bit of confusion — the staff initially claimed the cake had already been delivered, even though I hadn’t received it. After some checking and a brief wait, they finally provided the cake. While it was nice to receive it eventually, it did interrupt what should have been a seamless birthday surprise. Hopefully, Hilton can improve coordination for special requests in the future, because gestures like these truly make a stay memorable.

Service & Hospitality

Despite the cake hiccup, the staff were generally professional and courteous. The front desk was attentive, and once the issue was raised, they handled it promptly. For a one-night stay, I felt the service was good, though smoother execution for special requests would have made the experience flawless.

Overall Impression

Hilton Kuala Lumpur offers a comfortable, well-appointed stay with spacious rooms, relaxing bathtubs, delicious breakfast, and attentive staff. My one-night getaway was enjoyable, and despite the minor hiccup with the birthday cake, I left feeling satisfied.

This hotel is ideal for anyone looking for city convenience, comfort, and a touch of luxury, whether you’re traveling for business, leisure, or celebrating a special occasion. A little extra attention to special requests would make it truly perfect.

Rating: 4/5 – Comfortable stay with spacious room, fantastic breakfast, and a memorable birthday twist, but minor service hiccup.

REVIEW: ALOFT KUALA LUMPUR SENTRAL

Hi guys!

Today's entry is a review of my recent staycation at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral. Aloft is a Marriott International brand that is the urban-inspired spaces and vibrant social scenes for the next-gen traveler. It has 482 rooms and suites and is located near the busy Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station.

Check-in

So, we checked in a little late, about 9.00 p.m. Because there aren't a lot of guests checking in at that time, the process runs well. Guests staying at the hotel were asked to provide identification.

Room

The room was clean and quite spacious. It had a funky design, true to the Aloft brand. The usage of sliding doors cleverly maximizes the space of the room. Our room was bright and light-filled, with a soft twin
bed and a work area with a high-speed internet connection and enough plug points to accommodate the electronics. The room amenities are basic but adequate, including coffee and tea making equipment, an in-room safe, and toiletries for a pleasant stay.

Breakfast

Breakfast is one of the things I like best about Aloft. The spread has almost all my favorite breakfast items – rich and cheesy eggs casserole, waffle, pastries, and all the makings of a good breakfast. They also served laksa Sarawak. So nice and yummy!

Swimming Pool

The pool offers one of the nicest views of the city skyline at the moment. Even though I cannot swim, but the view is so fantastic and Instagramable.

Overall

Rating: 4/5

Our stay at Aloft was fantastic. It allowed us to relax after a long day at the office. I would recommend this hotel for a quick getaway.

Thank you for reading!

REVIEW: GRAND DARUL MAKMUR HOTEL

Hello guys!
How are you? I hope you guys have an amazing day! It’s been awhile I’m not updating any review. So today, with a lovely, beautiful day, I would like to review one of the hotels that I visit recently.

Grand Darul Makmur Hotel Kuantan is in the heart of Kuantan town amidst the commercial business center. This leading 4-star Hotel has been immaculately designed giving a perfect balance between business and leisure, offering facilities and services of international standard and unrivaled ambiance. Grand Darul Makmur Hotel Kuantan features 3 dining options, a sauna, and an outdoor pool. It also features a gym, a children’s playground, and free WiFi access. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from East Coast Mall and Berjaya Megamall. It is A 20-minute drive from Kuantan Airport and a 45-minute drive from Cherating Beach. Fyi due to the Convid-19 situation, all the facilities at the hotel were closed.

My Verdict:
Overall of my staying at the hotel, I can give 3/5.

Good
Very spacious soundproofed rooms at Grand Darul Makmur Hotel Kuantan come with a seating area. They feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a personal safe and a private bathroom with hot water facilities, and a hairdryer. Tea/coffee making facilities and a mini-fridge are included. This is what I like about the room.
Strategic Location – near shopping malls
The staff was good and fast check-in

Need to Improve
The AC controller in my room is not functioning well.
It is an inconvenience to walk from the car park to the hotel. You either must use the stairs or walk along the ramp.

The breakfast is not value for money and not worth trying. The food at the coffee house should have additional variety. I paid RM25 per Pax and I only received 1 a plate of small portion nasi goreng, a refillable cup of tea/coffee, cereal, and toasted bread with 2 choices of spread.

Price    :           RM175/per nite included breakfast

                        RM125/per nite without breakfast

                        (Walk-in rate)

Room  :           Deluxe Room

I will visit this hotel again, but not with breakfast, but for the spacious room. I think this is the worst breakfast ever delivered by a 4-star hotel.

That’s all guys!

See you in the next review!

REVIEW: COPTHORNE HOTEL CAMERON HIGHLANDS

Hello guys…

How are you? Hope you guys have an amazing and wonderful day in this good December which is my birthday month.

So, today entry is a review on Copthorne Hotel Cameron Highlands which is the hotel that i stayed on my recent visit to Cameron Highlands.

Front view of the Copthorne Hotel Cameron Highlands

The address is at Kea Farm, Brinchang, 39100 Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. Located high above sea level with a cool climate all year round, Copthorne Hotel Cameron Highlands offers affordable accommodation and facilities including an indoor pool while surrounded by mountains and valleys. Formerly known as Equatorial Cameron Highlands. The hotel offers accommodation option of a Tudor-styled apartments or a hotel block and complemented with 3 restaurants, a swimming pool, a gymnasium, and tennis and squash courts.

Why I'm so chubby honey??

The room types include suites, non-smoking rooms, family rooms and accessible rooms. Each room includes a TV with in-house video channels, minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. The Room Price Range is about RM 163 - RM 364 based on average rates for a standard room. The Copthorne Hotel Cameron Highlands is only 1 km away from various vegetable and fruit farms. Nearby attractions include Robinson Waterfall, the Butterfly Farm and Garden and Boh Tea Plantation.

My SIL and my mother in front of the hotel
At the hotel lobby. My niece so cute!!

I am a happy daughter!!

The journey of the check in is so smooth. We were booking 2 rooms at Booking.com. I'm not sure the name of the rooms. But once check in we get joining room. It’s cool! The hotel is located at the highest point in the whole of Cameroon Highlands. The room that we requested had a fantastic location looking over the complete Highland from the top. Guess what guys; there is No Air-Conditioner in these rooms. WHAT!! Yes, no AC guys. WHY? Because guys, the weather here is so cold already. You don’t need air conditioner to chill down the room, perfect weather! The rooms got fan in case you feel hot. Really?

All rooms images are from Google but still the rooms are same physically

I checked all the Hotel Amenities and all in but unfortunately our fridge doesn’t work and No Iron provided in the rooms. You have to iron your clothes at outside near emergency lift which only 1 iron at every level. I'm not a fussy traveler and this matter doesn’t bother me at all because the weather was so cold and I don’t need the refrigerator to keep my foods.

So chill!!

The good thing about this hotel is the Breakfast Buffet. I really enjoy it! Varieties of foods include Western and Asian cuisine.

My Good Breakfast of the day.

Overall, you may get a hotel with better facilities but for the location and site-seeing from the hotel, this is by far the best one in the whole Cameroon Highlands. In total, it was a very Pleasant Stay. My rating: 4/5.

Pesanan ringkas:
Lampu ini ada dekat dengan tepi katil. Hari kedua baru I tau nak switch on. Button ada dekat bawah ok.

TRIP HATYAI ON OCTOBER 2018 : PART 3

DAY 2: 29/10/2018 MONDAY

Okey Guys…here we go for 2nd day trip at Hatyai. Bawah ini adalah itinerary and the budget untuk hari kedua.

Hotel Grand Plaza →→ Chabura Dimsum
Chabura Dimsum →→ Lee Garden Plaza
Kim Yong Market →→ Walk
Kai Tod Decha →→ Walk
Kelantan Restaurant →→ Walk

Grab: RM8/PAX
Foods:
Dimsum – RM33/PAX
Lunch – RM20/PAX
Dinner – RM20/ PAX
Others:
Hair Treatment Product - RM50
Blouse & Pants 5pcs – RM90

TOTAL: RM221

Untuk hari kedua , kami free and easy. Tak banyak aktiviti sebab first day dah cover semua tempat jauh. So untuk hari kedua kami just jalan-jalan sekitar Lee Garden Plaza.

Sesi menunggu GRAB di depan hotel

First start of the day, kita breakfast dulu  dekat Chabura Dimsum. So divide la berapa orang hampa pi. Kan murah tu. Okey, sampai Chabura Dimsum, apa lagi kita pilih dimsum yang kita nak makan. Memang best!

Disebabkan I memang kaki makan yang suka mencuba I order pad Thai and otak-otak buah kelapa muda. Sedap sungguh!! DIDIE and NAIM order nasi goreng rasanya. Lupa pulak.  Ayaq pulak, semestinya pagi-pagi pekena kopi ais pekat likat. So rating for this restaurant is 5/5.

Hulur duit jer. I beli hair treatment dengan serum. Lepas semua dah shopping, jalan kaki balik Hotel. Time untuk berehat di bilik sebelum keluar lunch.

Jam 2.30 PM kami berjalan kaki ke Kai Tod Decha. Panas sungguh Hatyai nie. Berpeluh peluh muka. Nasib baik tak jauh. Dalam 5 mins walk from hotel kalau tak berlenggang. Hehehehe.

I pun tergoda dekat situ maka terbelilah 5 pcs blouse and pants dengan harga RM90 tunai. Konon-konon tak mau beli apa-apa sebab nak budget. Tapi apakan daya, dah dinamakan perempuan.

Rating: 4/5.
Menu Dinner dari Kelantan Restaurant. Makan di bilik lebih enak bertemankan aircond.

Habis makan and chitchat, kami tidur la…Esok nak balik dahhhhhhh..huhuhu
Tunggu tau cerita last day di Hatyai. OK…

Bubye!!
