REVIEW : A Taste of Local Comfort at Grandmama's in Gateway@KLIA2 (Terminal 2)

Located at Lot No. L2-75 & 76, Level 2 of Gateway@KLIA2 mall, Grandmama’s offers authentic Malaysian cuisine in a cozy, traditional setting. It’s a comfortable spot to enjoy familiar local dishes without breaking the bank.

What I Tried

🍜 Mee Curry

The mee curry was definitely the highlight. The gravy was rich, creamy and flavourful — comforting and satisfying with a nice home-style taste. The noodles worked well with the broth, making it a warm and enjoyable dish overall.

🍧 Cendol

The cendol was refreshing, but not really my favourite. It tasted quite mild and lacked the strong gula melaka flavour that usually makes cendol memorable. It was decent, but not something I would specifically recommend.

Atmosphere, Service & Value

The restaurant has a pleasant traditional ambiance that reflects classic Malaysian dining — simple and cozy.

Service was also a plus point. The waitress was friendly and welcoming, which made the dining experience more enjoyable.

Another highlight is the pricing. The food is affordable, especially considering it’s located in an airport — making it good value for money.

Verdict ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.0 / 5)

✔️ Mee curry — comforting and worth trying

✔️ Friendly service

✔️ Affordable pricing for an airport

✔️ Cozy local dining feel

❌ Cendol — average

Overall, Grandmama’s is a nice place for Malaysian comfort food at a reasonable price. I would return for the mee curry, and the friendly service makes the experience even better.

REVIEW : The Coffee. ザ。コーヒー (KLIA Terminal 2)

The Coffee. ザ。コーヒー (KLIA Terminal 2)

📍 Address: KLIA Terminal 2, Public Concourse, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Lot S2-3-L20A, Level 3 Departure Level, KLIA2 Arrival Lane, 64000 Sepang, Selangor

🕒 Hours: Open 24 hours

💰 Price per person: RM 1–20

I recently stopped by this cozy coffee spot at KLIA2 and tried their Tiramisu Latte — and it did not disappoint. The drink had a smooth, creamy texture with just the right balance of coffee and sweetness, topped with a light hint of tiramisu flavor that made it feel indulgent yet not overwhelming.

The café has a clean, minimal aesthetic, and its location at the arrival lane makes it a convenient stop for travelers who want a quick caffeine fix or just a comfortable place to relax. Service was friendly and fast, which is a big plus when you’re catching a flight or just landed.

Overall, a pleasant coffee experience — great value for money and perfect for a pick-me-up at any hour of the day.

⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 — Tasty drinks, good service, and super convenient location.
