REVIEW: INDOMIE’S SALTED EGG FLAVOR

I believe that everyone here has a salty egg-flavored food that you love, such as salted egg fish skin, salted egg chips, butter salted egg chicken or prawn and so on. Indonesia’s famous instant noodle brand Indomie has officially launched a quick-cooked dried noodle with salted egg flavor. Since its launched, Indomie’s Salted Egg Flavor has gone viral. The Indomie appeared in the bright yellow packaging under its Premium Collection. I really want to try the instant noodles of salted egg taste since it gone viral but unfortunately have to wait until it come to Malaysia.

INDOMIE’S SALTED EGG FLAVOR

I just bought this Indomie’s Salted Egg Flavor on January 2019 even it is in Malaysia since September 2018 I think.

A pack of sauce, flavored powder and chili powder

The noodles were a bit Curlier and Bouncy than the original. The portion of the noodles were Small compared to the packaging of Premium Collection. Each packet of noodles comes with a pack of sauce, flavoured powder and chilli powder. If you expect to find the usual dark sauce that comes with Indomie Goreng, you’d be disappointed. There is MSG spiked with turmeric to give the powder its bright yellow coloring. Very different from the usual Indomie Goreng seasoning but the thing that make up Indomie’s salted egg flavoring are "Synthetic Salted Egg Flavoring" mixed with turmeric powder and curry leaves.

Seasoning

The first bite was caught me by surprise which did not taste like salted egg at all. In fact, it tasted creamy and earthy, more like Carbonara Cheese than the fragrant salted egg. I really like it! Yes! This is the one from all Indomie Goreng flavors that I like. Match with my taste buds. Rating: 4/5
